Never You Poem by Hannah Geddes

Never You

I'm sorry
I had nothing to give you
To anyone.

The malicious mind I have to call my own
Wanted me gone
It wanted to torment
It needed pain to consume every thought
Until it twisted everything I had into anguish

I bear suffering but happiness in the same moment
As if I enjoy my hatred
It disgusts me but I don't fight it
I live in guilt but do nothing to fix it

Understand I only wanted to hurt myself
Never you.
