Shall I compare it to the ocean blue?
Like a gem under a bright amber sky.
The beauty is so wonderful, like you.
Emerald fields, cotton clouds, way up high.
Like the flick of a tail, a fleeting deer,
over too fast, in the blink of an eye.
Thinking ‘bout life as I sit on the pier.
Well I guess I'm just your average guy.
I want to just lie here, right next to you.
But now I know that new beginnings pend.
Starting over is something I must do.
The changing of seasons becomes my friend.
I've ridded all of my fears, accepted my
truths, packed my bags, kissed my demons goodbye.
