New Dawn Poem by Odunayo Jacob

New Dawn

Persevere, I need to go with the flow.
Let my subconscious snap in front of me.
Suffer my flesh, I elevate the soul.
This outcome is the complete summary.

I'm left in awe as I process this ideas.
More life lessons in the midst of nightmares.
This excitement can't get off my mind.
A solid rock to swallow all of my fears.

This emptiness, but I'm full of a narrow creed.
We used to lack perspective, we were myopic.
Overwhelmed by the body, we succumbed to vanity.
It's hard to focus in this murky gallery.

I was distracted by this temporal forces.
Couldn't bear carrying these crosses.
So I aim for transcension in this new era.
Gone are the days of neverending infernals.
