New Friendships Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

New Friendships

Three out of five, a quiet plea,
For friendships, new, for company.
A lonely heart, a space unfilled,
A common ache, a need instilled.

Don't think they're swamped, too tied to tasks,
Behind their smiles, there might be asks.
They yearn for chat, a friendly face,
To share a moment, find their place.

If shadows creep, and quiet reigns,
Reach out a hand, break down the chains.
An invitation, warm and true,
To someone else, just like you.

Don't cease the search, keep trying still,
For kindred spirits, hearts to fill.
New ways to meet, a gentle start,
To mend a lonely, waiting heart.
