New Home Poem by Tyler Casady

New Home

how far have i gone from this cold castle?
i look back from time to time
but there isnt' a sign of me turning back
i broke myself away from this place i called home..
i had no choice..
the key doesn't match the lock anymore..
false hopes when i bear in mind that welcome mat...
like a castle you had to many rooms to discover...
you had secret doors...
yet from the corner of my eye
there is this house in the distance..
with my heart on my feet
i stutter step across the long stran of field covered with stickers and bull metal.
at an instance the pain has came to a standstill...
have i made it?
because im in proportion once again, ,
my heart is where it belongs...
the world moves before me
a lite breeze is all i feel
motionless body and a moving world..
warmth and care pumping through my body
this house is just for me
im goin to stay as long as i can.
