New Rain Poem by Jinge Norvall

New Rain

Like
New rain
On old dry dirt
and newborn lambs
In a dusty kraal
Like baby doves
Fill an empty nest
Is Your word
to a thirsty
Soul.

Pure
Untainted by
Dirt and grime
Fresh and innocent
As a new young life;
So the Word of God
Brings renewal, rebirth -
To the desperate spirit
And the dying
Soul.

Like
The first
spring rain
Brings the promise of life,
we breathe in the scent
we smile and laugh!
Your Word brings
Joy! New life,
New hope! New
Purpose!

Like
New rain
On old dry dirt
and newborn lambs
In a dusty kraal
Like baby doves
Fill an empty nest
Is Your word
to a thirsty
Soul.
