New Tanka Poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

New Tanka

Tanka.

Ruby, he gave her
Unclean as coagulated blood
Looked like stones
Rocks should come in a nice box
She gave them to an orphanage

Tanka.

Ruled by the toffs
Social welfare, banks preserve
If you are poor
The state don’t want to know
Find a soup kitchen, my friend.
