New Year's Eve



On this New Year's Eve,
Let's try and leave
Our plausible sorrows and insatiable pains,
And let's for once gather the reins
Of happiness and mirth.
Make an arduous ardour effort
To realise life and its worth,
And give a general meaningful quintessence
To the eternal meaningless essence
Of this perennial survival.
