New Year Wish For Nigeria (2012)
Through this chilly anxiety of subsidy,
Choking prognosis of penury,
An NLC seething with rage,
ASUU segueing from one strike to another.
Terror, in a simulacrum of struggle and militancy,
A strained sleuth, confounded cop and a slumped soldier;
The jingles of 2012, jangling hearts.
Yet, faith clears all fears,
Belief births favourable realities.
2012 shall be beautiful!
