New York (Goodnight) Poem by Justin Gildow

New York (Goodnight)

Goodnight
New York
You've treated me so nicely
You've given me so much
The memories will always remain with me
They'll always be with me

And I must say New York
You're so pretty at night
You're so lovely, I'm sure
Especially under the moonlight

Goodnight
New York
You've given me
Babe Ruth
Joe Dimaggio
Frank Sinatra
Marilyn Monroe
Audrey Hepburn

I'm not sure what impact they'll have
on my life now
Or perhaps in the future
But one way or another
They'll be in my life
That's for sure

Goodnight
New York
Thank you for the memories
