sadness and deaths
dams overfilled to overflowing
by rain and tears
sensationalized
or not
news
an overage of coverage
tingling chills
running up and down my arms
and spine
reminding me
telling me I breathe
otherwise stoicly numb
sullen calm
zombie is me
oversaturated in news
mannequin challenge
stunt long gone
yet still here I sit
frozen in fear

making a decision to turn OFF the tv
get on my knees
and pray
prostrate
then in lifted hands stretched up high
way beyond earth's sky
unconventional wisdom
imparts from the heavenlys
a surge of electricity
another Power takes over
here He is to save the day
