Newspaper Blood Hound Poem by Wayne Falconer

Newspaper Blood Hound

See the newspaper blood hound
going after fresh news found
watch them grasp and claw
sniffing for news, more, more.

Lies, gossip will sell
tis kiss the dollar and tell
printing truths something else again
won't sell if it's tame.

Gossip is the old game
gossip is the false name
gossip is the news spread
gossip is the lie fed.

Remember gossip circulations the game
sniff out gossip shift the blame
induendo is the news hounds tool
half truths, gossip, lies are the rule.

Gossip is the daily scam
gossip is the grey man
gossip is the news rule
gossip is the sales tool.

Watch out for hungry blood hound
whose sniffing lurking around
look beyond fur fanged disguise
his news truth might be lies.
