Nicest Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Nicest

Rating: 3.0

Is this life?
So short!
Still
Getting shorter
Second by second
Minute by minute
And year by year
Every year

Leaving behind
Few memories
Pleasant and sad
Making its past
Some wishes
Fulfilled
And the rest
Unfulfilled
For ever
Buried deep
In the heart

So small
A list of friends
None's worth
Of one
Some of them
Turned me out
And the others
I turned out
A handful of
Loved ones
Near and dears
Kiths and kin
Left all aloof
For perplexity
For the new
Ones to join
And replace
Some pleased
Others displeased
Annoyed
Ever to forget
Still a few
Yet to recall
In memories
As I do
Leaving-
All the rest
In the text
Some waited
For I do keep
Be it right
Or wrong
Must bored stiff
As I'm
Fed up of them

Happen it may
Swift or slow
Thus goes on
The flow
As bound
To bow

Nicest so it
Demands
In fitness
Of the things
Give others
Their due
And get in return
That you deserve
This life so
Simple-
A give and take.
