Night Poem by Dustin Newman

Night

Pierce me upon my heart.
Your gaze consumes me.
Slowing time as you desire.
Lost inside you.

You seep from my mind.
Engaging my craving.
Grazing touch, as though real.
Like childhood memories.

Your shadow beckons me.
Come. Empty as it is.
Remain still.
For daylight scatters you away.

Keep this night with us.
Never to dawn.
Your silhouette excites me.
Dancing amongst the candles glow.

Subtle hints of playful measure.
Effortless calling ones name.
Heavy fingers trace your body.
But a pale illusion upon your face.

Lay down this shade.
I yearn to feel my name upon your lips.
Hear your approving want.
Kissing soft skin along your thigh.

I close my eyes.
Hoping. Wishing. Praying.
Vanish into cold night.
Steely breath is all that remains.
Wait.

Cease the flame that burns for you.
Devouring my beating Love.
As much remains.
To give you a kiss.
