Night Walker Poem by Timothy Robledo

Night Walker

No sleep hitting the streets on his grind not fearing the night sky the darkness that consumes the streets. Night walker racing the sunlight to the top. Always on edge not trusting the night sky’s. No worries no fears no tears just the sound of his heart beat. Racing the sunlight, not stopping to take a breath. Grinding every second counts. Money on his mind trying to make it to the top at all cost. Not noticing he is hurting those close to him. No cares in the world gotta make that dollar. Can’t seem to understand why the world has given him this hand. He's given up all hope all love hate drives him. Memories haunt him. Pain fuels his anger fuels his drive for that dollar. He walks this world alone. Racing the night sky trying not to run out of darkness. Running from sleep from the memories that take over his dreams.
