Nil By Mouth Poem by Heath Gunn

Nil By Mouth

Nil by mouth
she's going to die.
As doctors frown,
her family cries.

A hospital bed,
is where she'll pass.
Another day,
she will not last.

Lying weak,
and pale and drawn.
They say she'll see,
not another dawn.

They sound so sure,
yet full of doubt.
They speak in whispers,
dare not shout.

Nil by mouth
she's going to die.
As doctors frown,
her family cries.
