Save The Earth Poem by Heath Gunn

Save The Earth

Rating: 3.5

Save the earth, gods great land.
Is what we hear, preached by man.
Man so clever, man so strong.
Who's always just, and never wrong.
As self destructive paths we wind,
Yet to our fellow man we're blind.

Stand up tall and fight off terror.
World leaders state 'We'll give in never! ! '
Celebs and stars, host mass appeals.
Show shocking sights, on foreign reels.
Third world starvation, famine and fear,
Children on our T.V's shedding tears.
Yet riches flow like babbling brook,
They say you'll find it, if you look.
Find it where? Find it when?
Guarded secrets of rich old men.

Whilst homeless sleep, on streets by night.
For small shop doorway space they fight.
High on drugs, or down on luck.
Sat begging for a pound or buck.
So save the earth, or just save man?
Save imorral souls, or save the land?
