No Butterflies Poem by Kay Gabrielli

No Butterflies

I do not write about happy butterflies,
They would be nothing but lies.
Even though I am happy,
I will not write sappy.
I may think dark, depressing
Maybe even when you're caressing.
But that means nothing,
I don't think I'm capable of loathing.
Just because my thoughts are scary,
Doesn't mean I'm not merry.
Yes, I still love you,
You're something new.
But I can't help but think negatively
You wish me to think positively.
But I think about how you can leave me,
Put me in a hole and let me be.
Tears come to my eyes,
You say you don't tell lies.
I say I love you,
You say I love you, too.
But I know you don't,
I'll stay in a castle with a moat.
I keep out liars,
Also, Micheal Meyers.
For some reason I don't want a joke,
I may just choke.
How did I start talking about this?
You're the one I miss.
Don't leave me in the dark,
I'm scarred with a mark,
Yes self-inflicted
No, I'm not addicted.
Don't be mad,
I am not sad.
I just love you,
And miss you too..
