No, Indeed Poem by Posh Christina

No, Indeed

These are my friends
Yes indeed.
But they don't help me when I am in need.
They scream and shout and walk about,
but are they my friends?
Yes indeed.

These are my friends,
Yes indeed.
But do they help me when I skin my knee?
They scream and shout and walk about,
but are they my friends?
Yes indeed.

These are my friends,
Yes indeed.
But do they help me when I say 'please'?
They scream and shout and walk about,
but are they my friends?
Yes, indeed.

Are these my friends?
Yes indeed
But I think and say 'pul-lize'
My friends don't help me when I am in need nor when I skin my knee, even when I say 'please'
They scream and shout and walk about,
so are they my friends?
No indeed.

Given your age at the time, Bravo! It reads like something from a children's book, illustrations by Maurice Sendak. Best, Don
