No Long Black Car - Poem by Holly S Sorensen

No long black car
To follow this time
No pallbearers
Struggling to carry
Another one to bury

Instead
Displays of pictures
Of a life well lived
Flowers and animals
People he loved

The things he treasured
Displayed
For all to understand
The true meaning
Of this man

So many people
Attending
Attesting to your
True measure

Good bye brother mine
