No Longer Be - Poem by Heather Rhoden

A gun to my chest.
A blade to my wrists.
Freedom of this mess
That causes my heart to twist.

A rope around my neck.
Pills in my hand.
I can finally rest,
I can finally get away.

Water around me.
Suffocation crushing me.
I can no longer see,
I can finally no longer be...
