The iron is back,
It burns and aches,
The iron is back,
I can’t take it anymore.
The pain is smouldering,
The burn is unforgettable,
The ache is constant,
The hurt is unforgivable.
I wish it would just disappear,
I cross my fingers, and my toes,
I prayer for it to take its leave,
I hope for this to be the end.
My breathing is knocked,
My eyes are heavy,
My heart is pounding,
My whole body aching.
I am no longer in control,
I can no longer feel,
I am no longer myself,
I can take this no more.
