No More Poem by Malikah Awan

No More

Rating: 5.0

Pain
Like nothing I've felt before.
As my mind screams out:
No more, no more, no more!
Whilst my legs lay numb,
Though I long to run out the door.
Whilst my eyes stay fixed,
Though I wish to see no more.
Whilst my body stays still,
Though I am here no more.
Simply...
A stranger in my bed.
A stranger in my skin.
A stranger in my mind.
As the pain is all that's left behind.
