No More Poem by Jade Chen

No More

I can't see people walking in the park,
Nor people swimming in the sea.
My view is blurred,
The air is hazy.
I can't hear birds sing in the trees,
Nor the sparrows in the yonder.
The forest is barren
The animals without shelter.
I can't smell the fresh morning dew,
Nor the sweet cold smells of the night.
The air is filthy,
The stench I can't fight.
I can't taste the refreashing spring water,
Nor the colours clear and pure.
The water is polluted,
Never to quench my thirst anymore.
I can't shield the fiery touch of the sun,
Nor stroll in the scorching heat.
The fierce weather envelops me,
Searing my skin, burning my feet.
