No One To Run To Poem by Don Subba

No One To Run To

No one to run to
No one to scold
No one to hang with
No one to hold
Since you've been gone
Life's been so cold
You purposely left me
So I've been told

You came into this relationship
Just for me to mold
You took my heart and ran with it
Put it on the market, had it sold

No one to run to
No one to run to
Now I feel so cold
No one to hold

Not a care in the world
For how I felt
Just threw it all away
Let my heart melt
I kept the faith
You kept the code
But you left me here
With a broken road

You came into this relationship
Just for me to mold
You took my heart and ran with it
Put it on the market, had it sold

So tell me what was real
Tell me what was true
Was I just a lesson
You walked right through?
Now every empty room
Says your name in gold
And I'm still picking up
What you left untold

No one to run to
No one to run to
Now I feel so cold
No one to hold
