No Operation Poem by derrick foster

No Operation

With buzzing red nose,
Skeletal bones exposed
The only rule to abide
Just don't touch the sides.
The fat flat man lay as still as can.
From the start I was turned on.
When that commercial came on
I wanted to have it but couldn't afford it.
My dream of being doctor for play,
My hope and dream taken away
Oh Operation. Why did you come?
Only to be a let down for me
To this day I still want that electronic board game.
It's still a taunt just the same.
I'd even settle for the t-shirt
But you can bet
I'll get that etch a sketch.
