No Reason To Pretend Poem by Alfred Ramos

No Reason To Pretend

If we are among friends
Then there is no reason to pretend
There are so many relations
There are so many creations
We have yet to discover
Around the corner a new lover
So love can never end
So there’s no reason to pretend
We can try to live a fantasy, but that‘s not real
Illusions you can’t touch, you can’t feel
I hope you didn’t think it would be easy
For me to please you and you to please me
Cause loving one from the heart
Is a lost art
And if in all this there is a story
Take the pain and take the glory
And surround it with a friend
Cause there is no reason to pretend
