No Sparks Poem by Martin Farmer

No Sparks

Stuck in a cave with no way out
Stuck in this place just trying to figure it out

Holding on but not holding tight
Trying to escape and losing the fight

Taking a breath in the smokey air
Lighting the dark with a red mist flair

Entrapped, looking at four lit walls
Wishing, that it never got light a tall

Get me out of here
Get me out of the light
Get me out of here
Let me out of your life

Two torn ties that cannot bind
A bit of proof that love is not blind

Falling from a failed romance
Letting slip the false hope dance

Turning down the summer ball
The spark hasn’t gone it was never there a tall

Let go of my hand stop holding it tight
Let go of my hand give me back my life

Get me out of here
Get me out of the light
Get me out of here
Let me out of your life

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Great imagination. Loved the tie up between the cave and a relationship! Good work, keep writing..; D
