No Time Poem by YAKUBU GIWA

No Time

When I wanted to go to bed
I had no time to pray because I was tired
I woke up in the morning
Still, I had no time to kneel and pray
Because I was late for work
On my way to work
I had no time to give to the needy
So I rushed to the office
When in the office
I had no time to speak the word of God to friends
Because I fear they would laugh at me
So sadly, now it’s time to die
And I am standing before God
With my face down
And he is holding the book of life on his right hand
He went through the book and said to me
I wanted to write your name in this book
But, unfortunately, I found no time to do so
So I will say to you, in your next life
Find time to do well
