No Way Out Poem by Marcus McKinley

No Way Out

My mind is running leaving my thoughts behind
Like crumbs on a table for the rats to find
But why am I seeking these ideas unable
In knots my thoughts upon paper I scribble
Unstable this dribble I drabble like scrabble
Simply speaking in this complex lexicon
Or proving one's self in the mazes of Robert Tryon
Drifting in sextiles these celestial pages
The lines on the paper an exitless passage
I am the zodiac feasting on tiles
As the walls of the maze keep provoking
A mental experience continually circling
Where the only escape is a true awakening
