No Way Out - Poem by Little Star

Left alone
With broken pride
Heavily burdened
With life’s hostility
Nobody helping
Nobody cares
Just me and my shadow
Just me and my sorrow
I could only hear
Myself, my voice
Crying in the wilderness
In the emptiness
The pain endless
The tears consumed
My brain cracking
Countless bills
To consider
What to do
Where to go
There’s no way out
