No Worries Poem by Richard Sockett

No Worries

I ain’t gonna worry and that’s no lie
I ain’t gonna worry because I’ve got God on my side
I’ve got food on my table so I’m not gonna fret
When letters come through my door demanding payment of debt
I know I’m never alone with the friends that I’ve made
The good times we’ve shared, the memories won’t fade
With the love and support of my good lady wife
I’m ready for anything that comes to test me in life
With the help of the people I look up to the most
I know one day things will be good so I raise a glass to toast
The folks that I meet in that special place
Sunday morning I know I really see God’s grace
So I ask this of you Lord, help keep my faith strong
Because with you by my side I just can’t go wrong
