We Love Bathtime - Poem by Richard Sockett

Water thunders from the taps to form a warm relaxing pool
Every dropp feels just right, not too hot or cool

Lavender scented bubble bath forms a foamy quilt
Open some wine and continental chocolates without a sense of guilt
Valuable me time with no distractions is what I enjoy the most
Energized and ready to join the party and be the perfect host

Boats and squeaky water squirters are always lots of fun
Animals are popular especially plastic ducks the colour of the sun
The hot water helps you relax and ease your aches and pains
Heavenly aroma fills the air, pleasant dreams invade our brains
Toes and fingers start to wrinkle if you stay in too long
Ideas and inspiration come to you for a poem or a song
Me time over wrapped in warm fluffy towels I give myself a hug
Early to bed tucked up sipping hot chocolate in a mug
