Nobody Knows You Poem by Dashaun Rashod Snipes Mister

Nobody Knows You

Nobody knows you like I do
The depths of your heart, the secrets it holds
The pain you've been through, the stories untold
In this world where masks are worn
I have seen you, naked and torn
You hide behind a smile, a laugh so loud
But in your eyes, I see a different crowd
A storm raging inside, a hurricane of emotions
That nobody knows, not even your closest notions
I've watched you in moments of pure bliss
And in times of darkness, I've seen you miss
The light that once shone, so bright and clear
But now it's dimmed, and you're filled with fear
You try to be strong, a pillar of strength
But I see through the facade, the tears you've length
The burdens you carry, the weight on your shoulders
Nobody knows, nobody even bothers
Your heart is a canvas, painted with scars
Each one telling a story, each one leaves a mark
But you cover them up, with a smile and a lie
Hoping that no one will notice, the pain you hide inside
You've built walls around you, to keep everyone out
But I've found a way in, I know what you're about
Your fears, your dreams, your deepest desires
Nobody knows, nobody else admires
You walk with your head held high
But inside, you're just a broken butterfly
Your wings damaged, unable to fly
But still, you keep trying, and you don't know why
The world sees a reflection, of what you choose to show
But I see the real you, I see what lies below
The insecurities, the doubts, the scars of the past
Nobody knows, but I can see them at last
You pretend to be someone, you're not
But I see your true self, your every thought
The good, the bad, the ugly and fair
Nobody knows, but I'm always there
You're a mystery, a puzzle unsolved
But I've cracked the code, I've evolved
To understand you, to see through your soul
Nobody knows, nobody else will ever know
You're a beautiful mess, a chaos of emotions
And I'll be here, through all the commotions
To hold your hand, and wipe your tears
Nobody knows, but we'll conquer our fears
You're one in a million, a diamond in the rough
And though you may think, you're not enough
I see your worth, I see your value
Nobody knows, but I'll always be true
So when the world turns its back on you
And you feel like there's nothing you can do
Just remember, that I'll always be here
Nobody knows you, but I hold you dear.
