Nobody's Fault Poem by Gio Masserati

Nobody's Fault

Why do we scare ourselves away?
On the run......
Whose demise?
Is it as simple
As our egos getting in the way?

I find it hard to read your signs
Body language speaking freely
Lies
Say your words
Deliver your lines
Laugh at love
Your heart denies

Singing stories
Lit up face
You in leather
Me in lace

Walk the line
Of buried treasure
Keeping the Us
From heart's due pleasure

Me oh my
Scared ourselves away
I'd blame it all on you
Love never got to play

I waited for your call
I wanted you to come
Let me get away
Left me on the run

Blame the mystery of love
No one ever really knows
It's Nobody's fault
That's just how loving goes
