Noisy Silences Poem by Ila Manish

Noisy Silences

Suffocated, drowning -
The sand inside the sea;
Drifting
                      helplessly -
                A bubble
And then it

                    POPS!

The rushing, incessant tides of water,
Pulling you into a whirl of noise,
Hurdle after hurdle -
A dizzying stream of unending
emptiness.

Alive...
             and
                          not:
Schrodinger's cat stuck in a rat race -
The Last Leaf that never
                            shall
                                     fall.
