None Could Ever Take Your Place Poem by Richard Goolsby

None Could Ever Take Your Place

For i woke this morning,
With a smile upon my face,
Of dreams of you beside me,
For none could ever take your place.

You were nestled,
Where you dream best,
As I felt you breathe,
Softly upon my chest.

Brought me back to a day,
Where I smiled with joy,
Your fingers so gently touching,
I felt as a young boy.

With butterflies whirling,
And this big smile on my face,
I knew in all eternity,
None will ever take your place.
