None Of Their Business Poem by BASAB CHAUDHURI

None Of Their Business

News arrives.
Even if I do not want them,
they arrive.
Every death makes me a little poorer,
only those who die
and those who cause -
do not know.

Scholars say -
this is what the world actually is,
all these have been so.
I hear
but I do not understand,
what about books
or scriptures?

All visible
is just theatre -
if you weep
they will call you stupid.
Be a spectator:
those who win will be the winner,
those who lose will be the loser.

They say:
learn how to live.
Be indifferent.
Life is
as long as you're.
My grief!
It's none of their business.
