Nora, Nora Poem by Alfred Ramos

Nora, Nora

Rating: 0.5

You misread me
You judged me by the cover
You didn’t open the book
Or the curiosity to discover

That though intuition is good
It is not always right
You see the gut is not the heart
So you can’t always see what’s in plain sight

You may not need another friend
So I’ll just move along
I hope somewhere down the road
You find that sometimes you can be wrong

And that is not a bad thing
As we all should learn from our mistakes
And sometimes good intentions
Will fall apart and bring some unintended heartaches

But hey that’s okay
I’ve had my share of them
I’m still here standing
Crying when I hear the National Anthem

The preface of any relationship
To get an idea of what is to come
You at least read the table on contents
So when you make your choice you don’t feel so dumb

An appeal of whimsy.
