Normality Poem by Viki likesdietcoke

Normality

never lasts.
it's always offset by some thing, some event that occurs.
whenever a fragile sort of structure is established and we finally think everything can be smoothed over and it's alright - it isn't.
weaknesses always find their way into the glass that we use to build ourselves only because that's all that's available.
and when you're a girl made of glass it's hard not to break, just walking among the people.
a few people are lucky enough to have sturdier materials like wood or sandstone.
but still, wood snaps.

sandstone erodes.

and perhaps we shouldn't try so hard to restore after it's been broken.

once it's f**ked, it's f**ked.
it'd be easier than picking up the shards are fixing and gluing and trying to make it work again.

sitting there and waiting for the glue to set.

bored
irritated
aggravated

standing there and pretending that waiting for the glue to dry isn't itchy and annoying.
be broken.
when you're broken there isn't a need to sit and glue and wait and itch and there's nothing at all but your disordered anatomy.

do you hate the ugly girl because she's pieces of you?
