Nostalgia

I stepped out of my room when the power
suddenly went down as my laptop became
useless, so was my mind
which had gone ahead
to my cold bed.

I was greeted at the doorstep by the warm air
that blew against my face while a colored lizard
flees from my feet to the brown grasses.

The sight of a black sparrow perched
on a naked tree brought a melancholic
feeling of eeriness.

Oh how I miss the bright smile in her eyes
and the supple touch of her soft lips!
