Nostalgia For A Lost Home Poem by ashok jadhav

Nostalgia For A Lost Home

I hear the echo of a distant door,
Its hinges singing songs I cannot name;
The garden paths I knew exist no more,
Yet burn within me like a quiet flame.
The walls I touched with laughter long ago
Hold only shadows now, yet feel so near;
I trace their absence where soft memories flow,
And taste the bittersweet of vanished cheer.
The air I breathed was thick with sun and rain,
A language simple, tender, and complete;
No map can lead me to that time again,
Yet in my heart, its rhythm still repeats.
Home lives in memory, both near and far,
A light I carry, though it seems ajar.
