Nostalgic Memories Poem by jeanne harmon

Nostalgic Memories

Rating: 0.5

Oh, my dear please remember
When all seemed so innocent
When we laughed and smiled
And never cried
Still it seemed that whenever you cried a simple hug always worked
When we could have that sworn something under the bed or in the closet waited for us and lurked
Do you remember?
That December?
When all was happy and fine
That night we laughed and played for one last little time
Oh the times we had, though good or bad, when I think of them they bring nostalgia to my heart
It seems that the snow that Christmas day glowed in a magic way
Please try to remember!
When the world was our playground
When everything amazed us
Every sight, smell, and sound
No matter what season it was it seemed to be spring
These memories of mine are all have to cling to
So on some winter day when you think of that Christmas day
When the snow glowed in that special way
Remember me and how happy we were
Just remember and never let go to that sweet memory
When we were as happy as can be.
