Not Earth Nor Eden (Sonnet #240) Poem by Tina Baaklini

Not Earth Nor Eden (Sonnet #240)

Without your love, the world is dull and dead,
A lifeless place, no sunlight to ignite,
Your love is my breath; without it, I dread,
Do roses thrive without the sun's warm light?

Your heart is my nest, a haven of grace,
Where I dwell in fullness, in gratitude,
Here, wrapped in warmth, I found my true place,
O Soulmate, immersed I am in your beatitude.

What are cascades compared to your tenderness
That waters my heart and blossoms my soul?
Not Earth nor Eden could ever bless
Me with such love that makes me feel whole.

Hearts are sacred, they host sacred flames
Within a temple — O love, we do share the same.
