Not Even My Sorrow Poem by Ivana Suazo

Not Even My Sorrow

Swimming in the lake of debt
she's struggling to survive
desires to continue the long journey called life
eyes filled with tears she hides
her kids are confused
only 5 days left for them to pack up their things
leave the lovely memories after all

footsteps running back and forth
and I'm here looking at this mess
my heart aches cause I can't help my sis
my tears can't give her miracles
sorrow can't help her either
but I know we can get through it together
