Not Going To Cry Yet Poem by Alfred Ramos

Not Going To Cry Yet

Rating: 3.5

There will be some aching
There will be some breaking
But I’m not going to cry yet
When you have a fragile smile
And you haven’t smiled for a while
The pain won’t be easy to forget
There will be some stress
Trying to clean up this mess
But I’m not going to cry yet
And if my life seems in disarray
If it looks like my emotions are on display
It’s better than living in regret
There will be some saddened eyes
Ill wills grin in disguise
But I’m not going to cry yet
Who will be standing after the hurricane?
And who’s going to pay for all the pain
Balancing the books from this overdue debt
There will be some darkness here
Reflections you cannot see in the mirror
But I’m not going to cry yet
I tried to be stronger than you
Carry the burdens that have gone askew
But you didn’t even break a sweat
So if this story has an end
It has to be how to lose a friend
