Not Goodbye But See You Later Poem by Amber Collins

Not Goodbye But See You Later

Rating: 4.8

I still can't believe you've gone away
The things I would do to take back that day
I would give anything to retract what was said
If only I could put my words in your place instead
I never told you 'I love you' or that you meant so much,
God I cannot believe I won't ever again feel your touch
Memories are just not enough to keep you here and
Forgetting the real you is my greatest fear
You truly were one of a kind and
Times we have shared are not hard to find
God must have needed the very best and
That's why he took you home to rest
I know you weren't ready, we all wanted you to stay,
But now in our hearts your laugh & love will forever play
There's no way to get back what was taken from us that awful night
You did your best to stay, & put up one hell of a fight
Forever we will feel your presence amongst the stars, water & sky
Like your favorite song or the wind blowing by
we know that in Heaven you'll forever fly
so see you later our angel, for this is not goodbye
