Not Meant To Be Poem by Tabitha Cena

Not Meant To Be

It started off just as a look, apparently

that's all it took, just to get hooked. You

said I was beautiful inside and out, but

I've always looked at you, with all that

doubt. A friendship that blossomed into

something so sweet, I couldn't wait for

the day for us to meet. We promised

each other we would never apart, what

you said was, from the very start. Hours

on the phone, you always brought chills

to my bones. You always knew what to

say, each and everyday. Your voice

always made me melt, I always thought

you knew, just how I felt. You was my

friend, I said I would care for you, until

the very end. You said you cared for me

too, that only made me think of me and you.

I've always wanted to be with you, I only

considered myself as one of the lucky few.

My heart was so full of joy, but you played

with it, just as if it was a toy. You said if

he had shattered my heart, you would rip

his apart. What happened to you and I,

every time I think of it, it can only make me

cry. While the tears stream down my cheek,

the blood out of my heart, continues to leak.

As the blood begins to drain out of my soul,

the rest of my pain finishes it's toll. When

you showed your true colors to me, that's

when I honestly knew we wasn't meant to

be.
