Not The Star Pupil Poem by Francis Duggan

Not The Star Pupil

Einstein in school was not one of the star pupils of his class
But in his lifetime achievements all others he did surpass
In physics on his theory of relativity his fame live today
True genius can be slow to bloom it is often this way
Born in Ulm in Germany he died in Princeton New Jersey in the U S of A
One of the great minds of his time of him one can say
It is true that a great one cannot be kept down
From humble beginnings he rose to Worldwide renown
The one who proved that all life forms in some way to each other relate
In his theory of relativity he achieved something great
Not the star pupil of his classroom yet nonetheless
In physics he climbed to the top of the hill of success
Not the star pupil of his classroom yet he rose to fame
And in physics his lives as a revered name.
