disrespect for the self
like everything else is
temporary

it too is a test
how much can you give
to yourself? this disrespect
has a certain limit

you will miss yourself
such a respectable self
and when you face yourself
in the mirror again

you will sympathize with it
and make a promise
tomorrow i will be new
and i will respect you

your face in the mirror
responds with a smile
with so much understanding
saying: i have forgiven you
because i love you.
